Every so often, we need the reminder to be intentional about making our week amazing. That week starts today.
It begins with carrying a sense of optimism and hopefulness into your days. What is the first thing you do when you wake up? Whatever it is, ask yourself if that action is life-giving or soul-crushing. Instead of immediately checking your email or social media, try meditating or thinking about what you are thankful for when you wake up. Feel the benefit of purposefully bringing positive thoughts into your psyche.
This week, learn something new. Start a new book or find an inspirational YouTube channel. Perhaps learning something about your coworker that you never knew can help build a bond.
Even in the midst of difficult times, be thinking about how you can have a good week when unpleasant things are happening. Always seek the positive aspects in a tough situation.
Here are other suggestions on how to make this week great:
- Spend quality time with family and friends. Turn off the TV, put the cell phones away and genuinely try to connect on a deeper level than usual. Connecting with this who matter most to you will make you feel loved, understood, and refreshed.
- Find joy in the little things. Listen to your favorite artist, dance around your home, get into a consistent routine of exercise, or make time for spring cleaning.
